1st…run your cable coax into the VCR and then out from the VCR into you TV. That’s a must. It will say Cable In and Cable out on the back of the VCR where you can connect standard 75ohm coax.
for slightly better picture quality, then use a AV patch cable. It’s a three cable construction that includes RCA type connectors for Video and L/R Audio. The video is colored yellow, the L/R audio are Red and white.
Go to any radio shack and they’ll show you what you need. It’s not hard.

September 5th, 2009 at 1:13 pmUsually, you’ll need either a coaxial cable(same cable used by many antennas, it has a little pin in the center of it) or a set of RCA cables (usually red white or yellow). For the RCA cables, it depends on your TV and VCR, but there are often 2 audio jacks and 1 video jack. If one of your devices only has 1 audio jack, but the other has 2, plug the end with 2 into the jack that says mono. Hope that helps.
